The Gift

Long ago.....there were special people who had a sort of "telekinesis." These people with the "Gift" are able to I guess for a better understanding "use the force," and see and open portals. In order for a portal to open it needs something spinning at 100 RPM. Anything ranging from helicopters to turbine engines. These portals can take them anywhere they want. But when a person with the "gift" marries a person without it, the person with the "gift" has to give up there powers to the newborn.

But, the story begins when two people with the "gift" marry and they don't know they both have it. So the kid was born with the "gift." His name was Josh. Both of his parents gave him their power. So he is basically unstable. He can't really control any of his powers without them going overboard. His parents found out so they tell him to not use any of it. Now there are some perks to too much of the "gift":

1) Senses are increased.
2) Can sense other people with the "gift"
3) Can destroy the world.

Now when Josh was in 4th grade he got in a fight with a bully and found another guy with the "gift" named Sam. They became friends from here on out.

                                                          FLASH FORWARD 5 YEARS

Now Josh and Sam are in high school. Josh is starting to get sick of his powers getting loose whenever. So he devised a plan to go back in time using a portal and stop his parents from giving him the "gift" three times. So they go to the nearest airport and travels through. Sam controls when and where he goes, but Josh's powers let loose again. They over-power Sam's powers and Josh goes through the portal.

He wakes up to find he is in Minnesota and he is 10 days away from his birthday. He was born in Oregon and has 10 days to stop his parents. This would work because he can go back. If his parents would have never given him the "gift" and was born naturally with it, he would be able to control his powers and return home.
